Maritozzo is a large-scale two-story project from the owners of the Davidoff cigar club Aram Manukyan and Irina Babamyan, who for more than two years was building in the Malaya Bronnaya mansion. The space over which the architect Mauro Angelini worked (for him this is the first restaurant in the track record) is divided into three parts. On the ground floor there is a cafe with breakfasts, sandwiches, freshly baked bread, desserts and cocktails in the evenings – all with an average check every two times lower than at the top.
On the second one, there is a wine bar with a wine-menu and an Italian restaurant, in fact, where they feed, not saving on products and, perhaps, writing directly from Italy (scallops with lentil ragout and leek scum, marinated salmon Under beetroot juice with burrata and root salad, fillet of beef, stuffed with foie gras with black truffles and green beans, ravioli with chickpeas, crab and green asparagus, risotto with baked tomatoes, mascarpone and lemon.
Brand-chefs – also three. The cafe and wine bar are supervised by Ivan Pizzoni, hereditary baker, enthusiastic sommelier and experienced chief; His previous work was the opening of the restaurant Il Milione in Hong Kong, which received the Michelin star in 2013. Andrea Santilli and Marco Gubbiotti are responsible for everything that happens in the kitchen of the restaurant. And during their departures, the main chefs – chef Andrea Impero and chef-confectioner Tommaso Brunelli: that the Muscovites, who had become bored by authentic Italian tastes, did not have doubts about the authenticity of what was happening.
